Gotta make this here thing stop
Twas the night of the AGM.
I have long dreaded this night, and it always makes me laugh, that for no good reason, the very first time I blipped about the Allotment Society AGM has remained my most viewed Blip of all time (and by inserting that link, i've probably just made it stay there for a little while longer).
That meeting was one not to forget. It almost came to fisty-cuffs.
I told a man who thinks woman should be seen and not heard that I was very sorry for the amount I was bouncing in my seat, but I had cycled 9 miles that day and my buttocks were sore.
He left quite quickly after i said that, and after getting to know him over the years, Im glad i did because I think if he had stayed there may have been murder. Over the years I have tried to kill him with kindness and smiles and I'm sad to say that it hasn't worked.
Once the committee made him apologise to Si for his rudeness. and told him if he didn't apologise he would be excommunicated. It was a pitiful apology.
Tonight's meeting was a joy compared to that. The chairman's speech went on for thirty minutes (YAWN), but since she had it all written down I didn't need to take the notes. It's only when the floor is open that I have to be on alert - Im the minute taker.
There was one point when a point was raised and I completely lost the plot,I had no idea what they were talking about and I had to make them stop and explain it to me in little words.
That part of the minutes reads "Admittedly, the minute taker got a bit confused here and some discussion had to follow until she got the handle on it"
Luckily I've been taking the minutes since 2018 so most people are aware of how they read. - Yeah, kinda like my blip. I have learned over the years though, NOT TO WRITE EXACTLY what Im thinking, and try to censor the bit where there may be blood shed, if I wrote exactly what Barbara thinks about Robert and his stinging nettles.
I'm off to bed now. Need it after all that excitement.
