My topsy-turvy life

Glad All Over

After a -very- long run this morning, Mike came up in afternoon to go out for something to eat and watch the Cup Final. I thought it would be a change of scenery for him and a chance to talk sign after his cat, Alice, was put to sleep last week.
We found ourselves in the Market Hall, first at Moli which Mike didn't seem to fancy, before deciding on House of Yum for Thai instead. That proved to be an excellent choice as my monkfish panang (on the specials board behind us) was absolutely delicious and so too was Mike's red curry apparently.

That very satisfying lunch done and a good old chat, we had a wander through town on the way back to the car with an ice cream en route before home to watch Palace beat Man City in the Cup Final. It made such a nice change to not have one of the usual suspects win it (sorry, NothingToFear).
Once Mike had set off for home I got to settle down with Louisa and a cocktail to watch the, always entertaining, Eurovision grand final.

A busy but very nice day.
