Mayfly Melée

Walking along the towpath in Newbury, the skies were alive with little mayflies, glinting almost silver in the early evening sun.

I'd never seen such numbers; too small and fast to catch with the phone camera until a few settled for a couple of minutes on the side of a narrow boat.

This wonderful display was followed by the madness of the French film Juste Ciel, which was hilarious.
