A bridge designed to be adorned?

Whether you like it or not, the tradition of leaving padlocks on bridges has established itself everywhere. Several sources online credit a couple in Serbia  for starting this practice in about 1914, but there are also Chinese claims for it. Whatever, they do cause a lot of work removing the locks in the name of safety.
