Jill attended her conference presentation this morning, then we drove two hours to a small amusement park near the border with Tennessee. Lake Winnepesaukah (Lake Winnie for short) opened 100 years ago and is a lovely classic park.

The biggest ride is this roller coaster, Cannon Ball, which opened in 1967. The only other coaster is a children's coaster. The park also has Boat Chute (in extras), which opened in 1927 and is the oldest mill chute water ride in the country. It was really fun. Most of the ride is a slow float through a dark tunnel, but it ends with an unusual ride (on wheels) down a drop and splashes into the lake.
