Wayside flowers

This pretty patch of wild flowers caught my eye as I wandered up the road this afternoon.  My sister and brother-in-law came for lunch today, after which we all had a slice of my birthday cake.  It was absolutely delicious.  Thank you Mr Sk!

The peonies I was given a week ago still delight me and as they are probably about to go past their best I wanted to record them on blip one last time.
