………………………………….and a long time friend!

Up early to let the workies in to install my front door and window…it was a cold grey morning, just what was needed whilst I had a gaping hole in the wall! It was all done before noon and I’m very pleased with the results.

I managed to have a quick tidy up before I had to head out to meet L (my long time school friend) from the bus…by this time it had warmed up somewhat and we had some blue sky. We headed along the prom for some lunch and a glass of wine then walked to the end and back with carry out cakes! Once home we had a cuppa and our cakes in the garden where it was scorching…in fact we ended up coming indoors as it was too hot! Walked back to the bus stop about 5pm before saying our goodbyes after a lovely relaxed afternoon…bonus is I got my 10,000 steps in too.

This railway bridge is halfway to the bus stop, the main east coast line goes over it…sadly no trains any of the four times I passed under it today. They certainly knew how to build bridges back in the day! Thanks to BobsBlips for hosting Wide Wednesday.
