Birch

 I've enjoyed spending some time in the drying ground today.  I did a bit of bracken bashing first then worked on clearing roots from another of the seed beds so we can hopefully sow more wildflowers ahead of the predicted rain this weekend.  After lunch I took the strimmer up with the aim of strimming a nature trail around the top two thirds of the ground.  We are hoping to have another family event on the next 'working day' and I am going to create a nature hunt for the children.  To that end when I'd had enough of chopping back brambles and broom and strimming, I took photos of the plants to be found in the ground.  

I liked the light coming through these birch leaves.
