I dropped off the walker at Newton Abbot hospital, too early for the recycle centre I went into Aldi for a mooch to kill time.
First in line for the recycle centre at 8.40am, at 9am the staff member opened the gate... Hoorah!!! Apologies, no entry for approx 15mins. It began to rain quite steadily. Typical! I'm going to get wet. It stopped raining. 40mins later I get in, unload everything in the correct bays, then head for CK.
A very late breakfast for Mum, she was happy with a toasted hot cross bun.. Mel was cleaning. I walked Indie, we did the Ant Trail circuit of the heath.
Looking out the window, there on the fence was a Blue Tit fledgling. The only one we saw. Happy!
Lunch for Mum, then I left her waiting for Chelsea Flower Show on tv.
Popped into the chemist picked up hubby's prescription, bought the newspapers, & treated myself to a bunch of peonies. I had fading peony envy over at Jan's last week. They looked fabulous. Hope mine don't disappoint. Hers were from M&S, mine the Coop. I can't remember the last time I bought myself flowers.
Quick lunch, then I gave the hedge a haircut. I ripped ivy from the base of the hedge. Turned into quite a workout. 3hrs later I had'nt quite finished but the builders dumpy bag was full. I was struggling to lift it into the boot of my car when a very helpful passerby offered to give me a hand. Perfect!
Prepared dinner, got it going, then CIDER. :-D. Gosh was I ready for that.
