Cornwall 2: Mousehole
Our base for a few days and what a delightful place: little houses, winding lanes, steep paths all facing the picturesque harbour. Terrifying to drive through in a van but Will manage heroically, just one collision of wing mirrors with the ice cream coloured local bus. There are craft shops, lots of galleries, a couple of delis but we were shocked to find there was no proper chippie or shop selling basic stuff - an opportunity there for someone. We started off each morning with a coffee over-looking the harbour and just watched the comings and goings - lots of dogs, walkers, families, bikers, old salts and the odd pirate. We even managed an evening swim here ourselves, actually very pleasant.
