New Toy

Sadly, I don't think they'll let me play with it.  This arrived on the railway yesterday and after the normal checks it should be running by the weekend or early next week.  It's a long term arrangement; at the moment the agreement is that it will stay for five years but if it proves a success on the line, it could be extended after that.  It's an engine I really like so I'm looking forward to seeing it in steam.

One other good thing about it is that it is facing Sheringham.  Nearly all of the other steam engines on the line face Holt and as there is no turntable, there is no way of turning them around so they run in reverse on the return journey.  As this is facing a different direction to the others it should open up some different photo opportunities.
