Came upon these in Bolton today!

We started by meeting up with two of my friends: M and J, in Costa in Bolton today.  We sat chatting for quite a while it was great and then Ro and I went for a walk round the town centre but took a turn into the back streets and in a car park off the main square we found these objects!  The handbag really looked real!  I can well imagine someone thinking it had been forgotten!  The books were odd there so I took a photo of them too.

The bronze paint pot and brush was inspired by the R&G Greenhaigh painting and decorating company that was based on Back Cheapside in the 1870s.

The books are on the back of the Nationwide building that was once the town's public library from 1853 - 1938!

The mock crock Handbag on the granite plinth  is the best of the three and very realistic!  It is not far from the other two and represents the craftmanship of WM. Kershaw, a leather merchant based at 24 Mawdsley Street during the 1870s .

My research shows that there  are a number of other objects scattered around this area of town and I think it might be a great idea to find them with the girls during half term.  If we can get them off their iPads!!
