The burning mountain
Today we travelled to the Absheron region, famous for its preserved rock paintings, before visiting the unique landscape of mud volcanoes. Next was Yanardag, the burning mountain. And finally Ateshgah, the Fire Worshippers Temple.
We had a magnificent fish meal for lunch by the Caspian Sea. I even ventured in for a birthday paddle.
In the evening we strolled along to see the flame towers lit up.
