Birthday Boy

Wearing his birthday pressie “new shirt” full of optimism before the game……. not too bad for 69 hey ;-)

We spent a chilled day just looking around, had 2 breakfasts lol I enjoyed my first, C not so much so he had homemade granola when we stopped for iced tea……. weather was a lovely 22c :-)

Later we showered & changed, walked into the Square, spent an hour with a coffee just people watching, before heading to our chosen bar for food & watching the final.

What a disappointing performance, we outplayed them, but as has been our problem all season, no goal scorer, so we got what we deserved…. nothing :-(

When we left the bar, we were shocked to see it was absolutely bouncing down, no coat for C, small denim jacket for me, that went over my head & we made a dash for it…..soaked to the skin by the time we got to our hotel :-/
