Fragrant Peony in the Rain

It’s been another rainy day. We decided to go to town; we always have shopping list. I snapped this peony in case it was raining too hard when we got home. First stop was at the co-op. My sister has to replace all the snapdragons and a clematis in her front garden. The ones that became dinner have come back for so many years; such a shame. Each of us brought out a bag from the discount clothing store, Bealls. I needed nice summer shirts to wear out for dinner or concerts while in WV. Hubby needed some grass cutting jeans and our BIL has to get smaller slacks now that he’s lost so much weight. We went back to the New Mexican restaurant we found during our last visit. Their meals are really unique and delicious. We were able to speak with our mother. She sounded jovial, cracking jokes during our chat. We went to Ohio and I finally got my favorite bird seed. We each found deals at Menards; I even bought a Christmas gift for Lauren. We had quite a successful day. We need a few groceries and will then head home. I am disappointed that the Tylenol arthritis meds did nothing to ease my heel pain. I rarely take pain meds but thought I’d try some since we were going to be walking so much. We’re having an easy dinner, broiled fish. Our BIL usually makes that meal for us. Hoping someone pampers you today. Stay safe. Thanks for the visit.
“And the wind upon its way whispered the boughs of May, And touched the nodding peony flowers to bid them waken.” - Siegfried Sassoon
