Sky Pilot

Confession time. This is actually a photo I took last night and I’m using it partly because the most exciting thing I’ve done today is have a clear out of one end of the garage. Not exactly conducive to an interesting blip photo, though it was quite satisfying to see a clear worktop for the first time in a year or so. Didn’t actually throw a lot out, but it’s amazing how much tidier things can look when you put them away properly rather than just chucking them willy nilly in cupboards or on shelves.
After Robin’s funeral yesterday, I went outside later in the evening and was surprised to see that at least half a dozen airliners had passed/were passing overhead. It was a spectacular sight as the setting sun made the contrails glow pink (it was my intention to try and capture the same scene tonight but, though there were almost as many planes going over, they weren’t leaving the spectacular contrails.)
It seemed a fitting display at the end of a day celebrating the life of a man who loved flying…
