Ladybird, Ladybird
Our house is always a magnet for ladybird larvae to go to when it's time to pupate! I counted over 30 attached to the white walls. Mind you we do have an excellent food supply for them at the moment. I've never managed to work out though how they know to crawl down off the roses and onto the wall. Nature is very strange. One of the shots shows a newly emerged beetle. They come out almost bright yellow sometimes and soon darken as they dry out in the sunshine.
The other shot is of church during our morning service. All we need is the Rector to fill the space behind the altar.
I got stuck into the garden this afternoon trying to get rid of the couch grass which seems to have taken root! It's such a pain to get out, tracking the roots through the rock hard soil while trying not to break them.
