Cistus

What a lovely sunny and warm day. Perfect for a washing-fest. My washing machine was working overtime. I fitted in a short warm up walk, then headed out for a run. It was hot, so I only ran 4.5 miles. It felt hard.

TT and I headed to the rugby club for Goatfest, a beer and music festival. The music feels pretty incidental, though was probably better than last year. We spent the afternoon sitting in the sun with friends, bumping into other friends, and generally having a nice time. I drank pimms and TT drank beer. We weren’t allowed to take food in, which was a change from last year, when we took a picnic. There were only two food outlets, one selling pizza, the other chips. TT queued for about twenty minutes to order a pizza, then had to wait another twenty minutes for the pizza- not ideal. However it was very nice.

It all ends very sharp at 6pm, and you are encouraged to pack up quickly. We headed home, where I cooked a curry for tea. We were both weary from too much sun, and maybe too much alcohol!

BB was helping/volunteering this afternoon along with a few friends. They were ‘paid’ in beer tokens! They were heading out after the event. We heard him come home at 3:30am!! Oh to be young again!

I took very few pictures today. Our Cistus is starting to flower.
