Dandelion Clocks

Since we are still short on rainfall, I was soaking all the flower tubs yet again today.

I was laughing as I finished up watering one of the African Blue Basil plants as an anole lizard jumped onto the plant just as soon as I moved the hose to another plant, and he seemed to be relishing the cool wet leaves. I also watched a skink get under a tub to enjoy the cool water draining from it.

As Gabriel (who bought Runyon’s house) is still doing renovations and not yet moved in, he hasn’t been cutting his grass. Jim has never been good about cutting the grass on the front triangle area. This means that currently I have easy access to a large quantity of dandelions! I decided to take some dandelion clock photos today.

I also cut some of the different flowers and leaves in my yard today and have pressed them between some heavy books. (See extra) I’m going to attempt to make a sun catcher with them.
