Sing while you're winning

It’s been a busy day so far.  I was out at 8:30 and walked about a bit for most of an hour. People seem particularly friendly in the morning, lots of good mornings and smiles from nice ladies. This little dunnock was chirping its head off and all felt right with the world.
     A friendly engineer then arrived to service my heating unit and check the smoke alarms. All good. He was into football so we had a long chat about the current form of various teams. He was very knowledgeable.
    A wee visit to the local shop followed, and I noticed that every schoolkid in sight, and there were a few of them, were wearing black tops and short black shorts. It struck me that you don’t need to enforce a school uniform as they all choose to look the same anyway.
