Waiting For A Takeaway Delivery

Hopefully you can just about make out the blue tit chick looking out of the nest box side window for it's overdue takeaway delivery! Personally I think the service from the parents is fantastic, but you can never please all of the chicks! This evening the chicks are doing lots of practice wing flapping, looking out of the side window and even hopping up to look out of the entry hole. Five of the eight chicks look bigger than the other three, so I wonder if all will fledge on the same day. I suspect that will be either tomorrow or Sunday morning. No doubt they think the outside is full of never ending caterpillars - they'll get a shock!

This morning I drove over to the showroom of the blinds company which quoted recently, which turned out to be quite a small and overcrowded shop. I've said no to the fly screens when I saw the ones he'd quoted for. The other style is nicer, but doesn't fit my patio door design. The blinds I'm waiting for confirmation on something . Then I drove to the nearby Blickling Estate and did a new  guided tour of the house - the guide was excellent and I learnt a lot that I didn't know, despite having visited the house several times. This afternoon I sat out in the garden reading - bliss. I think my camera might be ok after being out in the rain, time will tell.
