SEDGE WARBLER

I went over to where the golf course crosses the Teesmouth National Nature Reserve, just along from Smelly Factory Road, because (a) there have been some unusual birdy visitors (dotterels) causing excitement very recently and (b) because I haven't been to that part of the dunes for ages. No dotterels and no birders when I was there but the air was full of skylarks and there were also lots of stonechats and this little bird singing its heart out near the car park. And, if you're reading this Kath, the path along to North Gare pier was alive with blue butterflies. It was lovely to see so many of them.
