Sweet Peas
I had a go on the bike at Fitness today and my knee survived so that's a plus. My trainer is focusing on upper body and strengthening hamstrings until I see the physio, and it seems to be going well. I certainly felt better in my head for it.
Back home it was time to feed all the flowerpots which took up until coffee time. Tony was planting a bed of dahlias where the tulips had been, which will look lovely if they all come up. The cosmos are well on their way and the sweet peas are a joy. Tony started them off early in the greenhouse last year and it has paid off.
After cuppas, Tony went up to the allotment whilst I did some house jobs. The afternoon was passed in the drying ground digging out more bracken and bramble roots until it was time to prep the casserole for dinner. I love it when we have warm early evenings and the neighbours appear for chats and stories.
We are due to have our first rain overnight and tomorrow since Easter weekend. Hope there is enough so that the garden and allotment benefit, but not too much that folks' bank holidays and half terms are spoiled.
