Salthouse Dock Liverpool
Clickychick and I were off on a village trip to Liverpool. Acity I have visited but decades ago. The bus drop off point was down on the docks. Imagine my surprise on getting off the bus to see lots of Narrowboats. I was puzzled "How did they get here?" Then CC reminded me the longest canal in England was the Leeds Liverpool, there is a hint in the name.
WE had a good look at the city with one down point. We walked all the way up to the Cathedral, The largest in the country I am told. On getting inside we found all apart from the gift shop and the area outside was closed to the public because of a memorial service. Some information down in the town would have been welcome. Not only the closure but there wasn't a single seat in area the public were allowed to be in. Not very friendly.
