I decided to take my DSLR when I met up with Diane for coffee today. After seeing the difference in the image quality of the pictures I took on Wednesday, I want to use it as often as possible. It is heavy though and I can foresee being approached by security guards telling me it's now allowed. Thankfully, Dubai Mall doesn't have this issue.
It was hard to choose three images to post. The camera has performed really well in situations where the light is different in the same frame (my second extra). The first extra is the Dubai Fountain, but not as you know it. It is closed for renovation over the summer. The main picture of the divers was me trying to capture their faces. Diane mentioned they had faces. I'd never looked closely before. I need a bigger zoom.
We were in Dubai Mall because Diane wanted to look at sports tops. I enjoyed looking at the new styles. I have to say, sportswear now is so cool and very flattering, provided you have the body for it!! We browsed several stores before leaving, later than usual, which meant we hit mosque traffic when we came back into Karama.
Friday afternoons are always great, especially when you can listen to loud retro music as you wind down the workweek. This evening, I put on the Annie DVD. The 1982 movie is so much better than the more recent remake with Jamie Foxx. Carol Burnett really cracks me up, so much so, I looked up the Carol Burnett show on YouTube and watched a Best of and then went on to the Donny & Marie Osmond show!! Pure entertainment!
