Setting out the Medication

We spent all day at the Royal Papworth hospital as they were training us so that I could give my husband the intravenous antibiotics, which they hope will sort out his constant infections. We watched the first time while they did it and then I had two practice runs, setting out the materials and then actually giving the doses into a small tray. I passed and we came home, ready to do the final one of the day a 21.30hours. This went okay although it took me rather a long time to do it all.

Today’s picture is of the trolley and how it should be before the preparation is carried out.

Temperature today – seventeen degrees Celsius.
