Creativity as a Catalyst for Regeneration
Delighted to attend the party tonight for the launch of Open Studios in Alloa.
It gives culture in Clackmannanshire, the smallest county in Scotland, a significant boost .
Angela Watt (far right) of Resonate, an arts collective in Alloa, organized this event in just a few weeks, showcasing a brilliant example of community collaboration.
"I believe the arts are a powerful tool for community regeneration," says Angela. "By encouraging participation, experimentation, and dialogue, we aim to foster a sense of belonging and pride in Clackmannanshire."
International artist Lys Hansen, who was born in Alloa, was the guest speaker. Lys (centre) is seen here with two young aspiring artists who are into body decoration.
Lys emphasized the importance of the arts for the health of a community, especially during these uncertain times.
Open Studios will run over two weekends along with a showcase exhibition in Carsebridge Cultural Centre, Alloa.
