i thought i was going - to find only buds - because everything has gotten - off to a slow start - due to the weather - and of course i was not - disappointed for there were - buds aplenty but then - i saw a splash of white - and there it was - a fully opened flower - the very first iris - of the season - so exciting although white - is always a challenge - for me to shoot

however i was taught - to face a challenge - head on, this one being no different - so i am hopeful that - it will bring as much - joy as that initial glance - did me thereby leading to…
