After the rain

Yes we had rain yesterday evening and last night. Hard to say how much but it filled up the bird bath. Today has just been rather grey and damp but pretty warm.

I took my macro lens camera out around the garden. Some ‘Grace’ roses just opening but I decided to capture the alliums before they were over, which they very nearly are. I usually enjoy getting a blip just as they are bursting forth but have completely missed that stage this year.
The lovely ‘Maigold’ rose has had it’s petals battered and as it grows over the garage roof they are all over the kitchen doorstep.  It’s been a long time since we’ve had damp plant litter on the mat.
