Going Under Cover
I should apologise for yet another bee on, or in, flower shot. However, our excursion to RSPB Goldcliff didn't really produce much apart some jolly prancing heifers that had clearly just been released onto the edge of the wetlands and were having just the most wonderful time...
Adding to Janet's, um, delight at the capering cattle, we then drove back along the narrow ditch lined roads, only to turn a corner and find yet more bouncy bovines in the road. If Janet wasn't keen on cows, I think by the time we got home we were both ready for a cuppa...
This, therefore, is a rainy afternoon low light desperation shot into the flag iris in the pond margins, being de-nectared by a happy white bottomed bee. The way the bee squeezes into the iris flower is a thing to watch, and probably shows evolution in action.
