Lego

Lincoln was so excited to bring up his lego models he has been building since I've been away. As their routine has changed he has had some time to actually get around to building  . They are so cool and he's done brilliantly.

When they were all leaving the jedi kept saying  " please can you escape " .

I saw two different doctors this morning.  The main consultant has said that he will get Edinburgh to review my case again as my leg is very weak and I can't walk yet. And he has said that my life has been impacted the last 10months. So watch this space. They also want occupational therapy to come and see me for when I do get out I can't really use the crutches properly as it effects my dodgy shoulder. And they have no idea how long it will be before my keg can function properly.
I'm ok using the crutches in my room as it's just the bathroom I get to from my bed and the rest of the time I use the chair to go about it.

My friend Lorraine came up to see me earlier too and later Gordon and Claire will be coming.  Today was supposed to be my running hill race. And I'm so proud of Gordon for the time and the pace he did. And it's a very cool medal. He was in two minds about pulling out as he wanted to do it with me. But I'm so pleased he went ahead with it.

I've made a collage of a few of the people I've been chatting too since I've been here. Davie and David both managed to get out today and get home. They shared a room and they are lovely chaps. Steven has been here for 17 weeks. He's waiting on assisted living.  He has no function in his arms at all and needs 24/7 help. He had had a seizure and knocked himself out in the bathroom in Greggs. He landed on his arms. The staff didn't check the toilet for nearly two hours and his blood supply had been cut off to his arms. He is a lovely guy that has had a few challenges in his life and I hope he doesn't have to wait much longer for a home.

Half of the ward I'm in has been discharged today but Emma is here for at least another night.

One of my painkillers has been stopped this afternoon  ( ketamine) and I can feel the difference already.

I haven't really had much sleep since I've been here and I'm starting to wilt quite a bit.
