Raindrops on roses

We finally had some overnight rain, which left the soil looking damp, the plants looking happier and the water butt filled to within about 4" of the top. It wasn’t as much rain as we need, but it was a good start. Unfortunately I didn't get out with the camera early enough to capture raindrops on roses, or on this foxglove, so you'll have to take my word for it.

Today was spent mainly doing a deep tidy of the craft room in preparation for another production splurge from Monday onwards, after which I made a lemon meringue pie for tomorrow’s dessert. The Traveller is back from Malta, his girlfriend is now back here with him, and we have our middle son and his family coming for lunch tomorrow.
