Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

This morning Archie and I went down to help Christine assemble her newly delivered static bike - the same as mine. I tell you, it was MUCH easier when you have ALL the correct tools! We had it done in no time. Archie and Dougal hovered around helping... Christine has tried it out a few times today already. Hope it helps with her sore back and reluctance to go long walks any more.

In the afternoon, while Archie was out with Elizabeth, we popped round to the neighbours for drinkies in the garden, followed by a delicious meal! What a fabulous flat and garden they have. We do love to see in everybody's flats - they're all so different, yet so alike. Their back garden is fabulous. The big ‘orrible tree that shades our whole garden doesn't really affect their sunshine, but the roots spread far and wide on their lawn, so probably under the wall nearby as well. It has to go.

We had a suoer afternoon with them, they have travelled SO widely! It was great to swap travel stories. We highly recommended house swapping instead of Air B&B so they're going to check that out for their next planned holiday in Vancouver. When we came back home, Archie was still obsessing with his peanut butter chewy toy.

BIG News of the day is that our good pals, Pip's mum and dad, are moving to Copenhagen! We are very sad to see them go, but what a fantastic opportunity for them.

PS Those are different colour harnesses for Dougal hanging up on the wall!
