Smooth
The start of a flying visit to Wales for a family occasion.
The usual bank holiday weekend engineering works meant 17yo and I had to take a somewhat circuitous route via Liverpool. Apart from that the journey across was pretty smooth, and the last leg from Chester to Rhyl was accomplished in the relative luxury of this new Class 809 (pictured as we left it at Rhyl). Coincidentally, the same one 809009 that I blipped at Chester a couple of months ago.
Sister #1 had invited us to help celebrate a significant birthday, which along with another significant birthday for niece H, added up to a round figure of 100. Hence the gag of a 100th birthday party (extra, featuring a notable blipper's hands.) All siblings and many niblings, partners and great niblings were assembled and we had a fine afternoon and evening.
