Mothers' Day

La Fête des mères, c'est le dimanche 25 mai 2025 en France.   


So out and about this morning in La Rochelle (where I arrived yesterday by TGV from Paris) I was struck by the superb skill shown by French window dressers.  I've noticed it every time I've been in France.


Here there were lots of fresh red rose petals, a range of gift ideas and a very pretty swing adorned with pompoms.  The swing carried a tiny warning sign - Please do not sit on the swing - it is too delicate.
