Sunshine and showers

The weather's always
Big up here!  Heavy showers,
Bright sun and Strong winds!

You can't hide from the weather here, you just have to go with the flow.. today that was all of the above!  This photo was on a mini dog walk when the sun came out but by the time we were walking back through the front door the heavens had opened!  We were lucky to dodge the downpour :-)
Other things.  Ben has been very, very chatty about his new residential placement, he's obviously processing it in his own way.  He's super excited to think about his increasing independence from parents and listing all the things he'll be taking with him (he has written a list that is sufficiently comprehensive to cover flannels.. or as he calls them 'my somethings to chew'!) We keep reinforcing how much we'll see him but right now that's not what he's interested in!  As I said yesterday, the reality will hit once it's real and we know he'll be asking for us a lot but in the meantime it's nice to think he can entertain the possibilities with such confidence.  He was up at 4am though so I confess I've had two naps today!  We have also played a good game of Globetrotter and made some cookies, good activities for when the weather was more inclement! Blipping a bit early so we can play monopoly after Ben's tea.  That's all folks :-)
