Interlaken

A day of two halves and three trains. First half was a section of the Glacier Express route. We left Chur and headed up over the Oberalppass at 2033 metres (extra) to Brig. Arrived there just after lunch. After a quick walk to the town square and back we caught the intercity through the 35km Lötschberg Base Tunnel to Spiez. Then on a commuter train to Interlaken West (main). Clouds and a few showers came in from the west late afternoon. Dinner was in the restaurant next door to the hotel. The diners were entertained briefly by the owner playing the alphorn. Many thanks for the hearts etc on yesterday's journey.
