Canal cruising

‘A 75 minute canal cruise on the Shropshire Star with cream tea’ : a lovely Christmas present from our neighbours, Mr HB walks their dogs when he can and we love the family having known them and their young family (now grown up) since we have lived here.

It was a great 75 minutes and the scone, Jam, cream and tea for 2 went down well. Heron followed us all the way, but I couldn’t get a decent shot, lots of baby ducklings, looking like bathtub toys scudding about, wild roses, pink Campion and other happy boaters made for a nicely different afternoon.

Meanwhile our kind present givers are having a swish meal at The Ivy in Birmingham to celebrate their lovely daughter Grace’s Birthday, 21 today. Where have all those years gone?
