Typical Bank Holiday weather: Showery, very windy and very grey.  I did lots of washing, managed to get most of it dry though,  a little housework and then Mr HB asked me if I would tidy up his hair, there isn’t much to tidy and I had to be very careful over his painful head.  I did a good job and he looks much tidier now!

Whilst Mr HB was having a quiet afternoon with his new Pilot magazine I nipped off to our lovely local Plant Nursery, inspected all the plants, purchased one or two little gems and joined the huge queue to pay as there was a problem with the card machine.  It’s amazing how everyone most people! turn queuing into some sort of a party atmosphere;  I found out that the couple behind me had lived in Hong Kong as he was in the Navy  and stationed there, a lot of memories were shared.  Once I’d eventually got through the checkout it was time for a calming walk round the beautifully kept gardens which was a riot of colour with lots of busy bees about, especially on the Rhododendrons.

Extra:  On the way out I met ‘Chewy’ the mini Wirehaired Dachshound.
