The Hippodrome

I washed the bedding first thing, no chance of getting it dry outside as it has bucketed down with rain nearly all day.

Lovely visits at lunchtime from #1 daughter whose on half term and FrenchFriend who will be back to France soon; haven't seen either of them for a while so it was good to catch up.

Had a nice evening and dinner with friends C&K in our local 'Spoons. On Friday they are off on a six week trip to Europe in their motorhome and as we will most probably be in Cornwall when they get back, we won't be seeing them again for a while.

Farmers and our gardens will love all this rain, and more tomorrow I think, but in places it has been non stop and torrential, so I'm so sorry for all those affected by flooding and damage.
