Life's Little Moments

Sweat

I had an enjoyable macro safari in the garden this afternoon with this being my favorite find of the day, a Sweat Bee.  I believe it is a Quebec Sweat Bee, Lasioglossum quebecense although I'm not 100% certain. It was perched nicely in a patch of milkweed in the garden, providing a perfect canvas.  I also found my friend the Pale Green Assassin on the same patch of milkweed where he's been the last few days, but this time with a meal!  I've put the shot in Extra and it's worth a look if you're interested in this sort of thing because he is "drinking" his bug smoothie.  Look closely and you'll see he's got the straw attached..

Hubs had his second race of the weekend this morning, and thanks to the marvels of technology, I was I'm enjoying doing macro photos again.  It always take me a little time to get my "macro hands" back each spring, but I'm almost there.  to watch it live.  He had a great time and got home just a little while ago.  After watching his race, I had a very nice FT chat with my parents.

And I heard back from my contact from the horse show (she's been out of the country) saying how much they like the photos I took last weekend and asking if they can use some of the candid shots in their promotional material.  Of course I said yes.  I'm very pleased that they like the candid shots so much because they are definitely the ones I like the best.
