Action Stations

One of the club tenders (Tinbo) was spotted by K on the breakwater wall and the call went out to the club. As the person nearest to the breakwater I legged it over and there it was – but with only one oar aboard. Meanwhile K was getting Dumbo readied. I scouted along the wall and there was the other oar which I clambered down to retrieve. It was pretty blowy but I managed to climb into the boat and push off from the breakwater wall. K appeared and threw me a line and we set off back to the pontoon. This is worrying said K, has someone fallen in? True enough, it’s a fairly tippy vessel. 
Apparently he’d seen Ted on Tinbo earlier, checking out his boat (K’s flat overlooks the harbour and not much gets past him). We headed over to Ted’s boat - a lovely Atalanta but there was no sign of him. Should we call the coastguard asked K? 
And then we spotted a character strolling along the breakwater – carrying a long piece of wood? As we got closer we could see it was Ted carrying his spare pair of oars.
What a drama, eh?
