High tide
No room to walk on the estuary edge, we pootled along the coast path until there was room for us to return along the shore.
Curlews and oyster catchers, egrets and black headed gulls were the main attractions, back in the village some plump flounders had been caught on the rising tide.
Had a good chat with the village vicar now retired but volunteering as seems to be necessary everywhere these days.
A strong man competition held at the rugby club was well supported and the enthusiasm was inspiring.
More rabbit stew before zzzzz
