Not Our Cat

Sunday afternoon front-porch visit with the neighbor kitty, LGK.

I was sitting on my chair on the front porch, swinging my feet, and I felt my feet banging against something soft. "You're bopping LGK on the head every time you do that," my husband said, "But I don't think he cares at all."

I knew LGK was around, but I didn't realize he was quite that close. In fact, he was lying part in sun and part in shade, under my very chair, flexing his paws, making air-biscuits. So I snapped a few photos of the cat under my chair.

And then I went for a short bike ride, just a quick lap around the block. When I came back, somebody who shall remain nameless had stolen MY chair! "Shuffle your feet, lose your seat," my husband advised.

The news from the front porch is this: LGK curled up on my chair, took a long bath, and then moved into the all-important Sunday afternoon nap. This was the final photo I took of him before he hit snooze-land.

Our soundtrack song is the Copacetics, with Tonight You Belong To Me.
