Destruction!

About twenty years ago, I hired a chap to build a big, multi-level deck at the back of the house. On reflection, I reckon he had been involved in building decking before, but I doubt he’d done one himself. 

But it did give us twenty years good service until Charlie the Joined did a bit of remedial work on it last year, warning us that a bigger job lurked in the near future. 

Today Charlie and a couple of his chaps came along to do the proper job, and here’s what’s left at the end of day one. I must say that it’s quite hard to concentrate while someone is pulling apart a bit of your house, even when you know it’s for the greater good!
