Star on Sunday

I thought I was going to have a nice morning without any duties at church, but ended up helping with the teas and coffees afterwards because the person who should have been doing it had gone on holiday to the Cotswolds and forgotten to find someone else to stand in for them, or even say they wouldn’t be turning up.

I had lunch in The Exchange with Alison - after serving all the refreshments and then washing and drying many cups and mugs and clearing the kitchen neither of us could be bothered to cook one for ourselves. My blip shows a shop window in Tiptree which reflected the changeable sky against the star-decorated t.shirt being displayed on a mannequin.

I laundered towels and bedding in the afternoon, then phoned my sister who was thankfully feeling slightly better and had even managed to eat a small meal. In the evening I fell asleep on the sofa exhausted.
