Rain,
and goslings, this was about 75% of the group with an adult at each end, a wonderful sight, a call from the back meant an about turn and up the bank they scrambled. Beautifully orchestrated.
Earlier we decided to look at Lydney in the Forest of Dean with a wander around passing this wonderful group although a minute or two later it poured with rain, we had to take shelter, no coats. The first proper rain we have seen for weeks. Unknowingly we managed a circular route, the car was not too far away. Lydney Harbour was more enticing where we had a good bacon toastie and hot chocolate, afterwards a walk around the area, the outlook was over the river Severn with art installations along the way, very good. A breezy day with threatening and actual showers, for some reason it felt good.
The dog roses looked very pretty on the side of a canal leading out onto the Severn.
