Eying me up
My apologies for the lack of wordage yesterday. I spat the dummy with Blip after I lost two blurbs.
So today I have taken Melisseus and DDon's leads, and this is being written elsewhere and then copied and pasted into Blip. If it gets lost online at least it won't be lost for ever...
Yesterday's photo was of Marian's wee cottage snug in the woods where Bean and I spent a few afternoon hours.
The parking area is above the cottage, with a precipitous path linking the two. Picturesque, but slightly impractical...
While there was lunchtime sun where I left my car, there is none at the cottage at any time of day at this time of year. Nine years ago I was offered the opportunity to live there, and I am glad that circumstances led me to turn down the offer. I need sunshine, especially in winter.
Today I have been in K's garden, where Nessie kept her eyes on me as I knelt in front of her to cut back the cineraria bed, and to dig out unwanted dandelions, forget me nots and clover.
I had a long chat with R (K's husband) about his plans to move away to help him come back to life again. I know two families interested in the property and was able to pass on their details today. A quick and easy sale would be extremely helpful to him.
My holiday at home continues, so the afternoon has been spent walking with Bean and then reading in the sun. I am giving myself the rest of the week. I'll get back into the garden next Monday; hopefully refreshed and revived.
