Told you there was a cow....

Snapped it this morning, but the ear tags weren't visible enough to read, and it was a bit flighty, so wouldn't let me within 100 yards.

Texted one of the local farmers, and turns out it is one of his. They had a mass breakout, precipitated (as these things often are) by someone's out of control dog. 20 ended up roaming, some up on the main road, with all but two (including this one) still at large.

Offered my help (for all that's worth) if it needed herding back, but presuming by now it's either home, or has disappeared from detection into the dense trees. The other one is grey, so keeping an eye out for him as well.
