Poppy 'Big Guns'

Papaver orientale 'Prinzessin Victoria Louise' and big red ones have started to come out and play. With the rain we have been getting I don't hold out much chance they will last long... 


Unlike the multitude of Welsh poppies we have in the gardens these ornamental big guys were planted by myself when we moved here. Last year the red one produced about a dozen flower heads. This year seedlings have started to spring up around the main plant. Happy days.
